    Personal Update

I'm almost finished with my Public Speaking course!  The quarter has been an interesting journey!  I actually think that I've made progress and conquered most of my fear of speaking in public.  I joined Toastmasters and actually won "speaker of the night" a couple weeks back.  I am going to upload a photo of my pin and trophy soon.  In the meantime, I can't wait for Thanksgiving!  I love the holidays...  Until then, don't forget to vote for your favourite NBA players!

    A Crucial Time

Please join me in prayer for the future of the United States, that truth will be revealed, that righteousness will prevail, and that God's will be done.  My family and I are coming together for a time of prayer and fasting leading up to the Election.  I would like to encourage all Believers to do the same at what ever level you can.  It's time for us to take a stand for God and for His righteousness.  May God bless America and may He bless you.

Please take a look at this Voter Issue Guide.

    Here's what happened...

I think a lot of you know by now that Dr. Jess and I were in a car accident Sunday afternoon, the 7th of September, while driving home from church.  As my Dad put it, "...Jennifer and Jessica on the way home from church driving along the road on Golf Course Dr. Sea Breeze going toward Prince Charles Dr. that a car pulled out of a side road in front of them, and although Jennifer tried to avoid the car she was to close to the corner when the car pulled out, thus an accident.  Thank God no one was seriously injured."  And I can seriously testify to that.  I believe it is a miracle that no one was hurt.  If you don't believe me...check out these photos.  Thank you to everyone who has been praying for us!  (I wouldn't mind continued prayers...I've got no wheels now. Crying)

    On a mission

I think my favourite passage right now is Matthew 5:14-16.  I feel like I'm on a mission, and this is it!
"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.  Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
      (See entire chapter)
This is something that I want to work hard on everyday.  I don't want things I do or attitudes that I have to act as a bowl covering over my "light."  So next time you see me doing something kinda stupid, go ahead and ask me "are trying to cover up your light?"  Sometimes, I could use a little help.  Light bulb

    Nothing else matters...

"Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in Him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:"  Philippians 3:8, 9 KJV  (See entire chapter)

Loved, adopted, redeemed, and forgiven--lots to be thankful for!

"Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved.  In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace;"  Ephesians 1:5-7 KJV  (See entire chapter)

    Trying to take this seriously

I may not be Gilbert Arenas, but I've decided to try and take this blog thing a little bit more seriously.  So here's what's happening right now.  I've almost got all my application requirements finished for SCAD.  I just got my two reference letters from two Lee professors while I've been visiting Cleveland, TN.  So I should be heading off for Savannah in March.  'Til then, I'm going to continue working at Christian Life in Nassau, leading the Media Team there and doing their video editing.  I intend to do my best at being faithful where God's planted me for the time being.  That's all for now.

    My Sisters

    They haves spaces now too!

    You have a blog?

My sisters, shocked, asked me, "You have a blog?  You have to show us this!"
    November 09

    Oh.

Oh, it's a web log of entries displayed in chronological order.  I guess that makes sense.

    What is a blog?

What is a blog?  Anyone know?  I'd better look it up on Wikipedia.  I'll get back to you.
